The Johnson Farm is a 2,400-acre certified organic operation operated by Charlie and Bette, Allan and Marcia Johnson and families. The Wilcox Farm, also rural Madison, includes a small cow-calf operation and a 350-head finishing lot as well as corn, oats and alfalfa fields. Summer Symposium will kick off at 8:00 a.m. with registration at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Two panel sessions will be led on the topics of Managing Obstacles in Organic Production and Marketing/Equipment Sharing. Pre-registration before July 7 is $30 per family/business (limit 6) and $15 per single for NPSAS members, $40 per family/business and $20 per single for non-members. Registration after July 7 is $40 per family/business, (limit 6) and $25 per single for NPSAS members, $50 per family/business and $30 per single for non-members. All registrations include one adult meal, snacks and beverages. Additional meals can be purchased for $8 for adults and $5 for children age 6 to 12. Children 5 and under eat free.
