DQ operators across the region will donate 100% of proceeds from Blizzard Treats sold that day to Children’s Miracle Network.
Locally, participating Dairy Queens raised more than $85,000 to aid in CMN’s “mission of miracles” for sick and injured children of our region.
Delon Mork, owner of the DQ in Madison, and titleholder for most Blizzards sold in all of North America for three years running, sold over 12,000 Blizzards in a community of approximately 6,000 people.
“Madison, and the surrounding area, continues to rally around Children’s Miracle Network,”
Mork said. “It’s heartwarming to see the support of these wonderful friends as they come out year after year.”
Miracle Treat Day has turned into a community wide family event. Along with supporting the Dairy Queen and purchasing blizzards, families will be entertained by inflatables, games for children and live music beginning at 6:00pm.
Local singers will perform and the evening finale will feature The Osmonds – Second Generation. Nathan, Doug and Alex Osmond (sons of Alan Osmond, the eldest performer of the original Osmond brothers) are supporters of Children’s Miracle Network and are anxious to be part of the excitement in Madison.
