Since 1964, East River Electric Power Cooperative employees have sponsored a Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed to benefit the Children’s Care Hospital & School (CCHS).
With over $16,000 raised last year, organizers are hoping the Madison community shows its generosity once again this year by attending the event on Thursday, March 14, 2013. The benefit will take place at Nicky’s in Madison with serving beginning at 5:30 p.m. In addition to rocky mountain oysters, pork sandwiches will also be served. Attendees will receive one meal ticket for $10, as well as five chances to win door prizes or for $20, patrons will receive one ticket and 20 chances. A silent auction will also be held. Individuals and businesses who wish to donate items are encouraged to contact East River at 256-4536.
CCHS, located in Sioux Falls, S.D., provides care for newborns through age 21 who experience mild learning, behavioral or physical challenges.
