Evergreen Lodge #17 / Twin-Lakes Shrine Club
Masonry, also known as “Freemasonry”, is the oldest and largest fraternal organization in the world. Its purpose is to make good men better. Masons are men of charity and good works, respected leaders of their communities. Many of our nation’s founding fathers were Masons, including thirteen signers of the Constitution. Fourteen U.S. Presidents were brothers of the craft, beginning with George Washington. Over four-million Masons in the U.S., from diverse religious, professional and political backgrounds, have built this fraternity on the cornerstone of friendship, compassion and brotherly love.
Shriners are a brotherhood of men committed to family, engaged in ongoing personal growth, and dedicated to providing care for children and families in need. Our backgrounds and interests are diverse, but we are bound together by our shared values and a desire to have fun, do good and build relationships that can last a lifetime. In order to become a member of El Riad Shrine (or any Shrine Temple for that matter), you must first become (and continue to be) a member in good standing of a Masonic Lodge.
