Walker's Point Recreation Area

Located 9 miles SE of Madison off SD Hwy 19

Tucked along the shore of Lake Madison, this small but complete park meets the many needs of campers and anglers. Campsites are located near the water and many offer picturesque views of the 2,800-acre lake.

One wheelchair accessible site. One tent-only site. Showers. Water. Dump station.

Camping Cabins: Two wheelchair accessible cabins. Each sleeps four people.

Reservations: (800) 710-2267 or www.CampSD.com. Up to 90 days prior to arrival. Campsites May to Sept. Cabins year-round. Group reservations available, open Nov. 1 for upcoming season.

Recreation: Camping. Cabins. Boating. Canoe/kayak rentals. Fishing. Game/equipment checkout. Accessible picnic shelter. Playground. Ski beach.

Swimming/Beaches: Ski beach only. No lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.

Fishing/Boating: Boat ramp. Accessible fishing dock. Fish cleaning station. Bullhead, crappie, northern pike, perch, walleye. License required.
