Please accept this invitation to attend an informational session regarding the Opt Out Levy question that will be voted on April 13th, 2010.
The current levy is scheduled to expire thus it is necessary to once again seek voter approval. The School Board has unanimously approved to ask for the same dollar amount for the same period of time, which is $250,000 per year for four years. It appears that the state legislature will allocate little or no additional funding for K-12 this session making it absolutely vital that our voting public be informed as to the importance of having the levy in place during these difficult financial times. The levy allows the district to hopefully maintain current academic coursework, activities and services our students now enjoy in the Madison Central School System.
Please attend the informational session regarding the Opt Out Levy on Monday March 1st starting at 7:00 p.m. in the lunchroom at the high school. School board members and administrators will conduct a session that will inform you of the important facts and details regarding this issue. Your attendance is key and your ideas and thoughts are welcomed. Please attend.
