Dakota State University is holding an educational event, Shatter the Silence Soup – N – Sweets Supper, in an effort to raise awareness and prevention of sexual assault.
This event is open to the public and will include an inspirational speaker sharing her story on how sexual violence has impacted her life, a self-defense demonstration and class, and resource materials will be available to victims and advocates.
This will be held April 7th at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse from 5:30 – 8:00pm. A free-will donation will be accepted and proceeds will go to the Domestic Violence Network located right here in Madison.
