DSU Will Not Close

Governor Mike Rounds is clear, Dakota State University will not be closing, but he says institutions will close as part of the effort to cut spending to meet reduced revenues collections.

Rounds will present a revised proposed budget to a Joint Session of the South Dakota Legislature on Thursday.

The Governor didn't offer many details while talking to the group gathered for Madison's, Day at the Legislature, on Tuesday but he says institutions will close and he says there will be layoffs in state government.
