Don't Raid Education

District 8 State Representative Mitch Fargen says he would look to other parts of the budget other than education to find places to save.

Governor Mike Rounds is proposing to end special state aid for school districts in sparsely populated areas and those with rapid growth or rapid declining enrollments.

The Governor also proposes to close the School for the Deaf.

Fargen says there are other places to find money in times like these.

Fargen serves on the House Education and the House Commerce Committees.
