Lohsandt Honored

Director of Career Services at Dakota State University Marie Lohsandt is the 2009 recipient of the Patrick Merrigan Award for Distinguished Service by the South Dakota College Personnel Association.

The Association was established in 1976 to provide leadership in personnel work within the goals of higher education.

The Patrick Merrigan Award for Distinguished Service is made to an SDCPA member who has exhibited outstanding leadership within the individual's institution and area of responsibility and who has significantly contributed to the profession and to the SDCPA.

Lohsandt has worked within a variety of Student Affairs roles at Dakota State over the last 20 years and began in her current position in 1997.

The award was presented at the recent SDCPA Mid-Winter Conference in Chamberlain.
