Use Caution on the Ice

The deadline for removing permanent ice shacks from the area lakes and ponds is still two weeks away on the 25th, but authorities are suggesting caution if you go ice fishing in the Madison area.

Lake County Conservation Officer Brandon Gust says the water seems to be opening earlier this year than most. Gust says open water is starting to show up on some lake shores.
