Early Morning Fire

An early morning fire destroyed a storage shed and dog kennel at the John Groce residence at 1415 Southwest First Street near the elevator Monday morning.

According to Madison Fire Department Officer Craig Miller, two dogs lived in the shed and one did not escape.

Miller says that the cause of fire appears to be electrical. Miller says the fire was reported at about five a.m. and firefighters were on the scene for about a half hour.
