Highway 34 Has to be in the Plan

The Stimulus Package approved by Congress and Signed into law by the President contains 183-million dollars for highways in South Dakota.
Senator Tim Johnson says that bodes well for a four-lane Highway 34 from Madison to I-29, but Johnson says the project needs to be a priority of the State of South Dakota.
State transportation officials will take public comment on the DOT's five-year plan during hearings scheduled in July.
Of the five hearings planned, the two scheduled closest to Madison are at the Ramkota in Sioux Falls on July 22nd and at Mitchell Technical Institute on July 23rd.
