Jury Decides for Defendant

A Lake County Jury has decided in favor of the defendants in a civil case involving livestock issues.

The suit was brought by the Alvine Family Partnership against James Hagemann Red Angus and Floyd Demaray alleging negligence creating a nuisance.

It was filed July 5th, 2007.

Alvine's suit had sought a clean-up of alleged fecal coliform and ammonia contamination of ponds and streams on the Alvine property, as well as unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.

The jury decision for defendants Hagemann and Demaray on Thursday afternoon was unanimous.
