Long Lake 'No-Wake' Restrictions Lifted July and August

The Game Fish and Parks Commission has voted to lift the 'No-Wake' restrictions on Long lake in the months of July and August.
Lake County Conservation Officer Brandon Gust says the action is a result of a request from some landowners for recreational time on the lake a couple weekends a year.
Gust says the restriction is in place to protect nesting waterfowl, but he says the birds are moving around in July and August.
He says the lake is shallow and Game Fish and Parks doesn't want the lake to get a lot of recreational use.
