Madison Water System Needs Attention

The Madison City Commission received a report from Banner Associates on a modeling of the Madison water distribution system.
The analysis is designed to help city officials plan and design work projects for improvement of the system.
Banner Engineer Dave Odens says the four inch water lines need to be replaced and upgraded, and eventually the west water tower needs to be replaced.
Odens says that because the system is old and needs work, ten percent of the fire hydrants don't provide a minimum flow for fire protection.
