Burglars Caught in Kansas

Two suspects are in custody in Gary County, Kansas in relation to burglaries that took place in Chester in late September, according to Lake County Deputy Sheriff Tim Walburg. Walburg says, 29-year old Derec Breazeale (BREE-zeel) and 20-year old Josh Snyder are being held for burglary related charges in a 5-state burglary spree. According to Walburg, the possessions taken from a homes in Chester were recovered in Iowa, and hunters also recovered more of the items in a slew in rural Wentworth along Highway 34. Breazeale and Snyder are also suspects in 2 other serious crimes including a high speed chase, and shooting at law enforcement in Jefferson County, Iowa. Walburg says the Chester burglary charges will be addressed after Iowa police resolve the issues surrounding the other crimes.
