The South Dakota Highway Patrol has announced sobriety checkpoints scheduled during the month of April.
Sobriety checkpoints are scheduled in Minnehaha, Moody, Beadle, Bennett, Codington, Custer, Day, Hughes, Lyman, Meade, Pennington, Roberts, Spink, Walworth, and Yankton counties across the state.
In addition to detecting alcohol or drug impaired drivers, the Highway Patrol uses sobriety checkpoints to remind the public of the dangers of drinking and driving.
