Heartland to Break Ground on New Headquarters

Heartland Consumers Power District will break ground on its new headquarters building March 31st in Madisons Lakeview Industrial Park.
The facility is registered to attain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certified Platinum status with the United States Green Building Council, the first of its kind in the state of South Dakota.
Heartland Projects and Marketing Coordinator Danielle Rosheim says the need for more space is one of the reasons for the new facility.
A signing ceremony will also take place with Madison's newest corporation agreeing to purchase Heartlands existing facility.
The new company will bring eight new quality jobs to the community.
The signing ceremony will take place at 203 W. Center Street at 10:00 a.m. followed by the groundbreaking at 11:00 a.m. at 432 SW 12th St in Madison.
South Dakota Public Utilities Commission Chairman Dusty Johnson will provide the keynote address at the groundbreaking.
