Rural Water Moving to Madison

Just before Heartland Consumer Power District breaks ground for a new headquarters building next Tuesday, officials of the South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems and Heartland are expected to sign an agreement for the rural water group to purchase the current Heartland building in Madison.

Association Executive Director Denny Davis says the building is a good match for them.

The signing ceremony will take place at 203 W. Center Street at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

The South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems has 7 full time employees in the Sioux Falls office.

Davis says he plans to hire 2 or 3 more over the next six or seven months.
