Karl E. Mundt Dakota Invitational

The twenty-fifth annual Dakota Innovational, Karl E. Mundt Oral Interpretation Contest was held this Saturday at Dakota State University in Madison. The home team fared well; as the Madison Bulldog Interp. team took second place overall in the Class A Sweepstakes.

Madisons Mike Lee took third place in the Prose competition, and also made the grand finals in the humor division. Also making the grand finals for Madison was the Duet team of Josh Palmer and Kyle Marker, while Emily Carmen was an honor finalist in the poetry division. The other members of Madisons team included: Breanna Rowland, Carlye Williams, Josh Vosberg (V ahs-Berg), Scott Walther, Mara Stroud, Jackie Staudenbaur, Victor Mathis, Sean Hegdahl, and Ethan Quam.

Madisons next competition will be this afternoon in Brookings.

Twenty-eight schools took part in Saturdays tournament. Dakota State University handed out over seven-thousand-dollars in scholarships, to winning students, at this years competition.
