State-Tribal Relations Committee Challenges

Senator Russ Olson says the State-Tribal Relations Committee will have a lot of work to do this year.

In addition to disagreement over the number of gaming machines allowed in the various tribal casinos across the state, Olson says the committee will also be dealing with prison recidivism, economic development in Indian Country and education issues.

Olson is a newly appointed member of the State-Tribal Relations Committee.
