Improve Madison?

Two of the four candidates for Madison City Commission will be elected next week.

The four met in a candidates forum earlier this week sponsored by the Madison Chamber of Commerce.

The candidates generally agree Madison is a good place to live, but they say there are some things that can be done to improve Madison.

Candidate Michael McGowan says some infrastructure needs attention.

Candidate Nick Abraham says he doesn't know of any urgent needs for improvements in Madison.

Former Commissioner Myron Downs says there is a need for more businesses downtown.

Incumbant Commissioner Karen Lembke says people in Madison need to talk up Madison; its greatness and its needs.

The election is next Tuesday April 14th.
