City Commission to Meet

The Madison City Commission meets this evening at 5:30.

The Commission is expected to acknowledge March investments, gross salaries and bills for ratification.

There will be a discussion of a 24-hour parking ordinance.

The Commission is expected to authorize the Mayor to sign an agreement with Geotek Engineering for geotechnical exploration for work on 23-blocks of 4 streets and the alleys in the downtown area.

According to a letter from Geotek the project includes pavement replacement and upgrades but does not include underground utility upgrades or improvements.

The Commission will consider approval of electrical licenses for Barger Electric and Perry Electric, and will review the 2008 Annual Report.
