Madison City Election Update

City Commissioner Karen Lembcke and newcomer Nick Abraham are the apparent unofficial winners in Tuesday's Madison City Commission Election.

Karen Lembcke garnered 332 votes and Nick Abraham received 291 votes.

Myron Downs came in third with 284-votes.

Michael McGowan received 184-votes.

City Finance Officer Jeff Heinemeyer says just seven votes behind Abraham, Downs is eligible to request a recount.

The City Commission will meet as a canvasing board on Monday at 5:30 p.m. to make the results official.

Downs must request a recount within five days of the canvas.
