Department of Labor Can Help

Governor Mike Rounds was in Madison Monday afternoon to meet with members of the Chamber of Commerce.

He was in Yankton and Mitchell Monday as well and plans to visit five other communities.

The Governor is meeting with businesses leaders around the state to find out about their employment levels and what kind of job training will be needed in the future.

Rounds says the State Department of Labor can help people change careers if they want or need to.

The governor says the state has federal funds available to retrain unemployed workers and help them find new jobs.
