LAIC Steps Up

Madison Food Pantry President Jeff Nelson says the Lake Area Improvement Corporation is adding to its financial contribution to the Food Pantry.

Nelson says at some point the economy is going to recover, and industrial plants that have laid off workers in Madison will need those workers again.

He says it is important to support the food pantry to help keep those workers in Madison.

He says LAIC has recognized the importance of the Food Pantry and continues to support it.

Nelson says so far contributions and support for the food pantry are keeping up with the 60% increase in demands placed on it by the economic downturn.
