Six or Seven Dealers Might Close

At least six or seven Chrysler dealers in South Dakota are on a list for possible closing.

The dealers handle Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Dodge Trucks.

Palace Motors in Mitchell and Schoenhard in Huron, as well as dealers in Aberdeen, Hot Springs, Spearfish, and Rapid City are included on the list.

Flandreau Motors is also on the list, but Myron Rau of the South Dakota Automobile Dealers Association says the Flandreau dealer closed voluntarily months ago.

Rau says inclusion on the list doesn't necessarily mean the included dealer will ultimately close.

He says only the dealer in Hot Springs is certain to close.
