Teachers Get a 1.94% Pay Increase

The Madison Central School Board has approved an agreement with the Madison Education Association for the next year for teacher salaries and contracts.

Superintendent Vince Schaefer says the overall district-wide salary increase is 1.94%.

The base pay for teachers is $30,500.

The increases were off-set in part by energy costs that were lower than budgeted for the current year because of warmer temperatures and lower prices for natural gas and other fuels.
