Fresh Air is Possible

Back in the 70's when people were re-insulating their homes and installing new windows, there was concern in some cases that the homes were sometimes sealed up too tight.

Later this summer a home in one of the communities served by Heartland Consumer Power District will be selected for an extreme energy makeover.

Heartland's Director of Energy Programs, Ann Hyland says if your home gets an energy makeover, a lack of fresh air in the home won't be a problem.

Hyland says Heartland will document the energy savings of the selected home and calculate payback periods for each improvement.

Heartland serves Madison and communities in South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.
