Election Set for Interlakes Water Project District
Posted on Friday, May 29, 2009
On a four to one vote the State Board on Water and Natural Resources has authorized an election for the formation of the proposed Interlakes Water Project District.
The election will be conducted Saturday, July 18th at 10 a.m.
The Board appointed Edward Buchholz and Edward L. Benson of Wentworth and Argis Neish of Chester as election judges.
Because of the difficulty finding a location in the proposed district that will handle three to five hundred people, the election will be held across the street from the Hillside Resort in a tent.
Residents within the proposed district who are also registered voters within the district are eligible to vote in the election.
