Gust 2008 South Dakota Boating Officer of the Year

Lake County Conservation Officer Brandon Gust has been named the 2008 South Dakota Boating Officer of the Year by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators.

Gust has received several honors over the past two years including the South Dakota Conservation Officers Award of Valor and Lifesaving Award that he received for two incidents on Lake Madison in the summer of 2007.

He also received similar awards from the North American Wildlife Enforcement Officers Association for the same incidents.
