Stearns cited for Avenue of Flags

Madison veteran Jim Stearns has been honored and recognized for his role organizing Madison's "Avenue of Flags" fifty years ago.

The Avenue of Flags and Flag Day recognition were held on the the Lake County Courthouse lawn Sunday afternoon.

Stearns says it was just an idea in the late fifties.

Stearns says he doesn't think there will be more flags added to the 194 flags already included.
