Madison Airport Needs a Parallel Taxiway

Madison Airport Manager Chris Funk says the Madison Airport needs a parallel taxiway.

Funk says an environmental assessment is underway for a proposed taxiway and should be completed next year.

Funk says the main issues at the Madison Airport seem to be the wetlands and associated waterfowl.

Funk says the environmental assessment and eventual construction of the taxiway will be financed 95% with federal funds, 2% with state funds and 3% with local funds.
