Water Quality Group Steps Aside

Interlakes Water Quality Committee chair Robert Todd says the Committee is stepping aside to let someone else take up the work of improving the lakes.
Three weeks ago voters who live along Lakes Madison and Brandt rejected a proposed water project district on the lakes.
The vote was 102 in favor and 228 opposed to the proposal.
Todd says the effort raised awareness of lake problems and issues but in a big way it became clear the lake residents were not on the same page.
Todd says it is time for some different people and new ideas to take over the water quality question.
Todd says the committee has $14,000 that it will keep with the Lake Madison Development Association for possible use for lake quality improvement.
