9-year-old Boy Airlifted to Sioux Falls

A nine-year-old boy was airlifted to a Sioux Falls Hospital Thursday after being struck by a pickup driven by an 18-year-old man in a parking lot at Madison High School.

According to Madison police, the boy ran out from between parked vehicles and the driver of the pickup didn't see him.

Police say the extent of the boy's injuries was unknown.

The accident happened shortly after 11:00AM Thursday during school registration.
