Lewis and Clark Board Rejects Bids

Late last week the Lewis and Clark Regional Water Project Board of Directors met to figure out what to do about the 34 million dollar difference between their projected expense for the proposed water treatment plant and the actual bids.

Executive Director Troy Larson says it was a tough decision for the board.

Larson says the next step is to change the way they will bid the project.

Larson says they hope to move fast on reissuing the project for bids, so that construction costs don’t get out of hand.

Larson says in the end the project will be more expensive going this route, but due to budget constraints it was the only decision that made sense.
