Posted on Thursday, October 29, 2009
The Madison Area Arts Council (MAAC) is pleased to announce the establishment of our new Community Arts Center, with the hopes of better serving the cultural enrichment needs of our greater community. We will be locating our new Community Arts Center at, 106 SE 2nd St, here in Madison, which is a great and dynamic space, with wonderful visibility and accessibility.
We will begin operating our Community Arts Center as of November 1st, with the establishment of our organizational office and public meeting space. We will be working diligently over the next few months developing and fundraising for our future consignment gallery and classroom space at our Arts Center, with the goal of opening this venue by the spring of 2010.
Now, we will need all you to come forward, with your creative energies and cooperative spirits, to make this a great success. Our Community Arts Center will be built with volunteers, comprised of neighbors, colleagues, and friends, artists and arts supporters, all working and growing together united with a common goal and purpose
This is a positive and bold step forward for both our organization and for this community as a whole, and we are excited at the opportunities and possibilities ahead. I will look forward to hearing from all of you over the days and weeks ahead as we ‘Discover the Arts!’
