Monroe chosen for People to People

Lily Monroe, a fifth-grader at Madison Elementary School, has been accepted to attend the People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C.

Monroe will fly to the capital in April. She was nominated by Marletta Eich. Students are nominated based on academic achievements, merit, leadership qualities and involvement in community activities.

Monroe will have the opportunity to tour many of the capital's national monuments, participate in leadership development activities, and earn high school credit.

Monroe will have a fund-raiser on Monday at Pizza Ranch in Madison from 5-8 p.m. A portion of the night's sales will aid her in the forum expenses.
