Daylight Savings Time Sunday Nov. 4th

One of the reasons the federal government gave for extending daylight savings time by a month last year was to save energy.

We fall back to standard time this weekend, a week later than has been done in the past.

The spring time change is now the first Sunday in March.

Tom Glanzer, spokesman for Northwestern Energy, says its hard to say if the extension of daylight time had any effect.

Glanzer says in any case, they encourage people to try and cut back on energy use.

Glanzer says despite the conservation efforts, Northwestern is seeing manageable growth.

Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4. Set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday so you wake up knowing the correct time on Sunday.
