Madison School Board to Discuss Discipline with Parent Group

The Madison Central School Board will meet in regular session this evening in the Madison Middle School Lunchroom.

The board will hold a discussion with a parent group concerning issues surrounding discipline at the schools. The board will consider authorizing the purchase of new band uniforms, they will also consider the approval of the purchase of a new truck to transport food to the elementary school. The proposed 1997 Ford F700 truck with a lift would cost $11,600 and replace the current 1971 truck which is in poor condition.

The supplemental budget resolution will also be addressed. The $216,000 plus budget would fund such items as textbooks, the school health grant, instrumental music programs, and health insurance. The money would also be used to help fund a $10,000 trimester study and would provide money for the headstart program.

The Madison School Board meets beginning at 6:30 this evening at the Madison Middle School
