Mothers of all ages are invited to Mom's Night Out, a free event sponsored by Mothers of Preschool Students (MOPS) and Madison United Methodist Church.
Mom's Night Out is set for Thursday from 7-9 p.m. in the Methodist church fellowship hall. MOPS member Chris Klingbile said the event has a two-fold purpose -- to provide a fun evening for moms and to provide some awareness about the MOPS organization, which formed in September.
"We thought it might be a neat way to let the community know we're here and see if anyone else was interested," she said.
Mom's Night Out will feature a variety of booths from vendors selling items like Mary Kay, Tupperware, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Arbonne, Blessings Unlimited, Pampered Chef and Jenica Jewelry.
The event will also include door prizes, entertainment, food and a fashion show sponsored by Stan's Men's and Women's apparel.
"Six moms will be styling the latest fashions," Klingbile said.
Child care is available. Reservations should be made by Tuesday by calling 256-2162.
MOPS is a Christian-based organization. Moms who have children from infant to kindergarten age are welcome to attend meetings, which are held every other Thursday at First Presbyterian Church at 11:30 a.m.
Klingbile said members gather and share their struggles as well as accomplishments. Members take turns bringing food and hosting crafts. Child care is provided during the meetings.
