Lien Announces Run for House Seat

Chris Lien of Rapid City has become the first republican to announce a run for the House seat now held by Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin. Lien says he has had a lot of encouragement to run.

Lien is President of Birdsall Sand and Gravel, and has a law degree from the University of South Dakota.

He says he isn’t intimidated by the prospect of a statewide race.

Lien says there are plenty of issues to run on.
