Holiday Travel Forecast

We're into the busiest travel week of the year, and forecasters say travelers likely won't have to worry about the weather.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Todd Heitkamp says the weather will cool down, but the dry weather pattern will continue and motorists won't have to deal with snow.

The forecast calls for temperatures around 30 on Thanksgiving Day, warming into the upper 30s to around 40 Saturday and Sunday.

Triple "A" expects more than 95-thousand South Dakotans to drive at least 50 miles from home over the holiday weekend, despite gasoline prices that are much higher than they were last year at this time.
