AgraGate Climate Credits Corp. and the South Dakota Farm Bureau will host a series of six informational meetings on carbon credits for farm operators and landowners in South Dakota.
Lowell Mesman, a soils aggregation specialist with AgraGate, will present the sessions December 3-4 in eastern South Dakota and at Belle Fourche on December 6.
Farmers with no-tillage or strip-tillage practices, or those with new grass plantings since 1999, and improved rangeland, are eligible to participate. There are also programs for forestry and riparian buffer strips, and agricultural methane. This meeting is open to any farm operator or landowner who is interested in learning more about this new market.
An informational meeting will be held in Madison on Tuesday December 4th at 9:30AM at the Pizza Ranch.
