The BrickHouse Bash! Press Release Contact: Chris Francis, contact@madisonareaartscouncil.org
Nearly a year ago the Madison Area Arts Council moved into what is now called The BrickHouse Community Arts Center. In celebration of the upcoming one year anniversary, MAAC is hosting “The BrickHouse Bash!”
Join us for a street concert outside of The BrickHouse on Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at 106 S.E. 2nd Street in Madison. The BrickHouse Bash! is a street concert featuring the bluesy, rock and roll band The Sewer Rats, with special guest Jack Rollins, a folk musician. The show is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome to the family friendly atmosphere of The BrickHouse Bash! Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Refreshments will be available for purchase. The event is non-alcoholic.
The BrickHouse Bash! is part of MAAC’s ongoing monthly Chautauqua Series. Some of the great programs brought to the community through this series in the past year include presentations and demonstrations by painter John C. Green, state poet laureate David Allan Evans, author Jon Lauck, printmaker Roger Broer, cowboy poet T.J. Casey, stained glass scholar Dr. Barbara Johnson, ancient instrument musician Lauren Pelon and the summertime White Night festival.
