Annual Towns and Townships Meeting to be Held in Huron

The South Dakota Association of Towns and Townships will hold their annual meeting in Huron this weekend.

The organization serves communities of 5000 and under, and will provide information to the smaller towns in the state on a variety of subjects.

Gail Brock, SDATAT Executive Director says they will have an update on Emergency Management.

Brock says many communities may not even be aware of all the resources available through USDA Rural Development.

Brock says the Brownfields program, a partnership of the EPA and South Dakota DENR, will be discussed.

All meetings to be held over Friday and Saturday in Huron are free and open to the public.
