The Madison City Commission will consider approval of temporary construction easements needed for the repair of the rock wall along Park Creek during its meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at City Hall.
The easements are needed to complete repairs to the rock-and-mortar walls that were damaged earlier this year by heavy rainfall.
The city commissioners will hold a hearing at 5:35 p.m. to consider the renewal applications for alcohol licenses for groups and businesses in Madison.
In other business, the commissioners will consider:
-- Acknowledging appointments from Dakota State University to the Community Center board.
-- Reviewing the second reading of a measure that would strike language from the city ordinances regarding Madison Police supervision of alarm systems.
-- Approving the appointment of Chad Comes, city engineer, to the Community Center board of directors.
-- Authorizing the mayor to sign an agreement between Madison and the Sioux Falls Regional Landfill.
The commissioners have also scheduled an executive session at the end of the meeting to consult with legal counsel regarding proposed litigation.
