Sunset Harbor Developers Address Lake Co, Commissioners
Posted on Wednesday, December 5, 2007
The Lake County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Tuesday morning at the Courthouse in Madison.
The commissioners heard from Attorney Dick Ericsson, Ted Thoms, and Engineer Dick Sayre regarding the north portion of the county’s Poor Farm land, which Thoms is hoping to purchase a portion of that land. The group presented information to the board at their last regularly scheduled meeting, and was appearing this week to answer any questions the board may have about the Sunset Harbor Development. Thoms plans to break ground on the 40-unit development yet this year. The first phase of homes that will be built this year will over look Herkimer Pond. The Sunset Harbor Development will include a swimming pool, tennis court, putting green, parking, enclosed storage and a large outdoor water fountain.
Thoms says the additions to the development will increase tax revenues by $10 million.
