2-Vehicle Crash Reported on Highway 34 Tuesday Night

Last evening the Lake County Sheriff’s Department was called to an accident at Highway 34 and County road 17. Thirty-one year old Danelle Keninger of Madison was traveling westbound on highway 34 when a vehicle being driven by 17-year old Marcus Dangel of Hurley, struck Danelle’s vehicle after failing to stop at a stop sign. Dangel told law officers that he was unable to stop due to road conditions. Dangel’s vehicle was carrying 3 other passengers. Keninger’s vehicle was not carrying any other passengers.

Keninger’s vehicle is believed to have sustained over $6,000 in damages, Dangel’s vehicle was a total loss.

No injuries were reported. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
